Well ! Storm Antoni arrived, with the wind already round to WNW by the time we got up, but there were plenty of huge gusts - 69mph registered at Gwennap Head - so I persuaded Jim to only take the dogs to the field
I wanted to pop down to Longrock and walked down to the beach first - hard to stand up at times
Really wild out towards The Greeb Rocks
Not sure this was the safest place to be - you never know when there is going to be a much larger wave
Penzance Helicopter managed to fly all day
Looking beautiful out there when I got home, but it was still gusting well over 60mph
Afternoon walkies past this Painted Lady resting from the wind on the wall
Long waves this afternoon
Vessel Fri Porsgrunn that came in from Limerick to anchor in the bay
THV Galatea at anchor
Swallows were zooming around the big field
One of the best shots I've managed - they're so fast
Lots of surfers this afternoon
Maisie hoping the Swallows had followed her down the hill
RoRo/Cargo Delphine with her Flettner Rotor sail(for better economy) shining white in the sun - it is tiltable to enable her to pass under bridges
Dramatic end of the day
