Once again there was shower clouds almost all around us with this beauty coming our way - so it was a fairly early walkies
Off they went
Gry Maritha on what I assume was a proving run out into the bay
As you can imagine the ground is no dryer as it just won't stop raining
Gry heading back into the wet dock - she's due to go back into service tomorrow (April 1st)
Flag flying for Easter Day
Just time for a run on the field - rain did arrive but the worst passed us by - again
Marine Discovery's Shearwater II came past
The dark clouds continued to move along from the South East
Not one I've seen before BF190 Ocean Vision similar lines to S118 Crystal Sea - then I noticed they were both built in the same Macduff shipyard - Aberdeenshire
This Buzzard came right overhead and landed on the hedge - sorry about the builders yard behind !
The RNLI Penlee Lifeboat had been tasked to a 36ft yacht in difficulties with sailing and engine problems South of Gwennap Head - here they are slowly making their way down the bay in a force 6 Easterly and rough sea.
During this time the Penlee Inshore Lifeboat was also launched to a paddle boarder in difficulties over the bay - fortunately he had made his way to safety - during their return journey the crew became aware of a Whale in difficulty trapped in a fisherman's rope - the crew managed to skilfully manouevre close enough to cut the rope free and the Whale thrashed it's tail and it was free. Great job all round.
Afternoon walkies - yet again trying to stay dry
Just time for a run on the field, but it started spotting with rain so in we went
We did eventually get some rain, but nothing like as heavy as others have had.
