Monday

Cloudy, breezy  and grey morning

Scillonian III just setting off into the gloom

Both still there this morning, but only Arklow Vale left now

Later in the morning the sky brightened - just for a few minutes, so I popped out onto the balcony
Sea was looking much wilder as the wind got up

Noticed that Gry Maritha turned around South of Porthgwarra - conditions had got much worse and her speed had gone down to 5knots and below - The Steamship Company have reported that one of her engines was overheating so she has returned to the Penzance wet dock where engineers will inspect her

The rain continued, we kept hoping there would be a gap, but there wasn't - so no afternoon walkies

  1. I so enjoy reading and seeing what you are doing and what is going on around Perranuthnoe. Your companions are so fortunate to be in your care. All of their needs are covered, including a great social life. The weather there has been a bit contrary lately. Do hope you have more sunny days in the weeks to come before it really changes. It is a bit that way here with some lovely sunny days, but still often cloudy and showery as we look towards Spring. Many daffodils, in pots are flowering, which usher in all the Spring blooms. I hope you are both going well. Various health problems make us slow down at this stage in life. You both seem to keep going whatever!
Thank you, dear friends for the lift you give me every morning.
    Take care. Betty xx

    1. So good to hear from you Betty, we do all plod along a bit these days - Maisie having much more energy than the rest of us. It's great that they enjoy meeting all the local dogs as well as most of the visitors. You are right about the weather, after a wet and horrid Winter we were all hoping for a good Summer, but it really has been odd days here and there. Much cooler today and more wind expected Thursday. Pleased that you're beginning to see signs of Spring, just as all our Summer flowers are finishing. Sadly the grass keeps growing at a pace, so much mowing needed! Soon the school holidays will be over and Cornwall will be just a little quieter and we'll be able to get around a bit easier. Hopefully we will have an "Indian Summer" in September.
Sorry to hear you have health problems - it does seem to dominate our lives as we get older - we both have good and bad days ! Ah well ! back to the photos! Sue & Jim
