Storm Bert lived up to expectations - really very windy and noisy with torrential rain as well - I abandoned the bedroom to the somewhat quieter lounge - but still no sleep ! This is a shot from the Newlyn Panorama webcam showing the waves crashing up onto the prom

Sorry non of the photos are up to normal standards - but there's no way I was trying to open one of the doors onto the balcony. Sadly Gwennap Head NCI is still not showing the wind speed but it was reported at up to 70mph
