What a night that was, huge gusts of wind and heavy rain. Maisie was rather scared of all the noise so we waited - watching tv - until the power went of at 2.10am fortunately we have plenty of battery lights and we managed to get the dogs into the garden - really scary out there with the noise of the wind in the trees and the crashing sea. They eventually settled - when we got up I'd had a text from neighbour Theresa to say that National Grid should be with us in around two and a half hours.
This was the reason for the power cut - the junction box at the top of the pole had gone and the cable was down - somewhere along the footpath I assume.
Suddenly there they were
Wooster wanting to make friends as alwaysTook a while as he had to winch the cable back up there
Looking much neater than it was before

Wooster was pleased to meet Lottie and have some fun. There's a lot more wind in the forecast for the next few days
