Off they go - grass is growing so fast Maisie will soon disappear

Since the sun was out I decided to go and check that the new sun shade umbrella was OK on the end patio - we sat there during the recent hot weather and were roasting

Later Maisie went back out to the field with Jim who was weeding and seeding his bare patch where the bonfire was. She had a lovely time watching the Swallows and checking out the people walking past

Afternoon and unfortunately it had got much colder and windier again

Parking field is ready for the competitors in the Lizard to Land's End Classic Quarter endurance race tomorrow

Distant shot of Scillonian III returning this afternoon. No trip tomorrow due to weather and the fact that she needs attention to her port engine. I'm sure there is havoc with so many people unable to travel until Monday or even Tuesday!

Since Jim used some of the soil from his compost area around the bonfire we have suddenly noticed that there are lots of seedlings - Poppies and Echiums so it will have to be a "No Mow" area
