Another damp & misty morning

The mist moved around - one second I could see Mousehole - then it was gone

We drove through Helston to have lunch with Jim's sister at The Halzephron Inn at Gunwalloe - second time we've been in the last few months and same weather

We walked down towards the Cove - looking along the coast to Loe Bar and Porthleven

After a lovely lunch we headed back towards home - sadly that's where it all went wrong. Accident outside RNAS Culdrose - we sat in crawling traffic for around an hour and eventually realised that the only reason that we were moving was that so many were turning around. 

In the end we did the same and went along the road towards Gweek - which got very narrow and by now there were many vehicles trying to travel in the other direction to avoid the total blockage. It was havoc with many drivers completely unable to reverse - or too scared to squeeze through - it was a total nightmare. I gather the roads all around Helston were jammed - we eventually got home at around 5pm having left the Inn at 2pm.We were exhausted after all the stress which wasn't helped by Maisie setting off the rear seat belt alarm - naughty me had not thought to clip it in as the sensor knew she was there! Won't make that mistake again!
