Many times I have parked near Jubilee Pool to look for these, as they are often around here in the winter. This is the first time I have seen them, as you can see they were all asleep and I only saw one beak, but I'm still pleased !

Lovely! I'm pleased for you. They are lovely birds to watch when the tide is just below the rocks and they can feed still. I sat on a rock a few weeks ago and watched one feeding near a couple of Turnstone. If you stay still they come really close, with only feeding on their minds. Magical.
