A day in Falmouth & Flushing

Having had a successful shop in Trago I took a look around Falmouth Harbour then we drove up the road overlooking the dry dock & there in front of us was the Jubilee Sailing Trust's tall ship the Lord Nelson just arriving, would have loved to see it in full sail. Since we were heading to Flushing for a dog walk and lunch we knew we would see it again from there.
Commissioned by the Jubilee Sailing Trust she is the 'flagship' for the Trust's mission to enable people of all physical abilities to sail side-by-side as equals
"On the 17th of October 1986, the newly completed Lord Nelson made her way out of Southampton and towards the challenge of changing lives for everyone who came on board"
Sunday - just noticed that her sister ship Tenacious is at anchor off The Helford River - she's supposed to be heading for Finnisterre - which will mean heading South across the Bay of Biscay, but with the current weather forecast they will probably wait until the worst is past.
