PERRANUTHNOE is a small village on the South Coast of Cornwall, just East of Marazion, there is a Car Park and sloping access to a safe sandy beach and the beachside Cabin Cafe. It has The Victoria Inn a superb multi award winning pub, which serves super food both lunchtimes & evenings, - a Church dating back as far as 1160. The Lynfield Centre which houses The Cowhouse Gallery, The Peppercorn Cafe and a hairdressers.

We then drove around the back of Porthleven to get to Loe Bar Road. We parked and walked along the footpath - which used to be a road before a big cliff fall many years ago.

  1. Looks like a lovely day. Can't imagine how the miners must have felt having to trek home up that steep hill after a shift down the mine!
    The Thrift is so pretty.

  2. The miners were indeed very tough - there are lots of old mines perched on cliffs like these and of course many of these families went on the treacherous journey to Australia hoping for a better life !
