Thanks so much for that. I like to walk down to Durgan and then do the coast walk to the Ferry Boat Inn, and maybe a bit of cockling while keeping an eye out for the oysters that got away!
ReplyDeleteSure is a lovely area - because of the wind direction it certainly looked a bit wild there yesterday. Always walked near Durgan when we went to Trebah to see the Azaleas etc. Sue
DeleteYes, I have a very deep attachment to that area, and the picture of the mouth of the Helford gave me pause as both my parents are buried at Mawnan Church. That is such a peaceful spot with the glimpses of the river through the trees. I hope to be at the house in November - not the best month, but things have conspired to keep pushing my trip back.
ReplyDeleteSuch a beautiful place to be laid to rest - we've been many times and parked and walked out to Rosemullion Head - until we were chased by a herd of cattle who didn't like the look of the dogs !
ReplyDeleteWho knows - November might be glorious after the Summer we've had !
