Steam Engines !

One of the big Steam Engines - looks like a road roller, from Hinckley Rural District Council - which was only about 10 miles from where we lived in Leicestershire
Another magnificent old Steam Roller - Cornwall has a great affinity with steam power as the Tin Mines were powered by them.
Obviously needed to let of a bit of steam

  1. I love these old engines and I can see the Aveling Barford prancing horse there so it was made here in Grantham. Good to see.

    1. They really were good to see - not as many as we've seen elsewhere in the past, but so good that they are preserved and kept in running order. Must go to one of the bigger fairs next year. Sue
