The forecast was for a slightly better days today, but this was all I saw of the sun today - but I suppose it didn't rain until around 6pm so it was a little better - but very grey !
Sadly the forecast is for rain, rain and yet more rain - just what we need !
Oh Sue, sounds as if it's been horrendous down there. We just caught the 9am news on the Radio and are saddened to hear that Helson's been affected again. Hopefully Jim's trench is working and that you're all ok?
ReplyDeleteHi Susan, yes it's been a bad night - the River Cober in Helston was already well up when I was there on Thursday and it just keeps raining - they've asked some people that live in lower Helston to leave their homes yet again - horrid at any time, but even worse just before Christmas.
ReplyDeleteOur worry is that if the water keeps running down the tall side wall of the garden it might wash too much away and expose the foundations (if there are any !)
Comical last night, as it was raining so hard I didn't turn off the Christmas Lights - went to bed and realised they were much too bright to sleep with, so had to go out onto the balcony to turn them off - corr ! it wasn't nice out there !
