The coastal footpath heading up onto The Lizard and to where we were yesterday
The amazing remains of Wheal Trewavas Mine on the footpath from Rinsey Head to Porthleven - looks even more spectacular from here.

  1. Makes you wonder how they kept their footing to build on such a steep site, doesn't it?

  2. It sure does, and to be building with relatively basic tools compared to nowadays. The SAR helicopters from Culdrose used to get their eye in each morning by dropping each wheel onto a concrete block up there - we could see them from the garden of Porth en Alls House in Prussia Cove - but we didn't know what they were doing then !
