PERRANUTHNOE is a small village on the South Coast of Cornwall, just East of Marazion, there is a Car Park and sloping access to a safe sandy beach and the beachside Cabin Cafe. It has The Victoria Inn a superb multi award winning pub, which serves super food both lunchtimes & evenings, - a Church dating back as far as 1160. The Lynfield Centre which houses The Cowhouse Gallery, The Peppercorn Cafe and a hairdressers.

We had walked to Loe Bar because we had been told that the Department of Environment had decided that since the level of Loe Pool was still over a metre higher than normal, they would have to pump it out to sea in case there was more heavy rain and it backed up to flood Helston again.  All the equipment was still there, but they had obviously managed to get the job done.  The large mobile generators are up on the road above with the cables running down to the pumps.
Job done ! -  and Helston is safe - at least for now !
