Cold wind & no power !

We awoke this morning to a nasty bitterly cold ESE gale and no power in the village !
We have a super little single burner gas stove - (that you can use indoors)  - for just such emergencies and just as the saucepan of water boiled for my morning coffee the power came on - only it was  only half power - the fridge freezers were bleeping away as they couldn't work properly and the kitchen lights were only glowing - so we turned everything off,  Jim had boiled eggs for breakfast and I went out with the dogs - I even wore my silly fur hat that fastens under my chin - it was that cold ! I gather that the problem was the main transformer in the village - hopefully now properly sorted !

    1. Power came on fully by lunchtime and we were lucky it wasn't today - as the sun kept us lovely & warm in the house - today it would have got cold very quickly. We had a few icy bits blowing in the wind this morning. Sea just calm & grey today. Sue
