Article in The Cornishman Newspaper this week about John Skewes & his lorry - which was based up at Trebarvah. If you've walked around Penzance on a weekday morning - I bet you've seen him !
John Skewes with his work companion of 40 years – the trusty Ford D500.

  1. Good to see John Skewes with his 40 year old Ford D500 and I bet there are many miles left on that vehicle.
It`s good to see in this day and age, what with the change in the registrations an old Cornwall Reg AF, there is another Cornwall Reg CV.
    Excellent Picture.

    1. There was another photo in the paper, but not in the online article - showing John leaning out of the window saying that up to now that was his "air conditioning". Possibly lots more old vehicles will be getting ready for their "Summer season" when they get out on the roads again !
