A bay full of lights

When we got home we noticed just how clear it was - making the five vessels that are out in Mount's Bay look even closer than the 7 miles out that they were - looking from our bedroom they are all lined up with their lights on looking rather nice
A sign of the times I suppose to have so many vessels around the world "awaiting orders"
Wonder why they are all black & red - so boring !

  1. the red paint is what is called the "boot-topping" - also antifouling and hopefully stops marine growth. Black - they probably want to hide the rust marks. Kind regards Ian O

    1. Thanks for that ! Think you're right about the rust marks - they never look good close too - I tend to forget that they are high in the water since they're normally empty when they're out there awaiting orders. Sue
