Pengersick Castle - Bank Holiday Monday afternoon

We got home from the Fish Festival just after 1pm and gave the dogs their lunch and had a coffee then set off for Praa Sands.
We weren't sure if we would be able to park anywhere near the castle, since we knew Praa Sands would be very busy, but we managed it and arrived there just after 2pm.
All the area closest to the castle tower had been landscaped
With lots of work still to do
 Always love an archway !
Nice Pergola
This is called the Medieval Garden - mainly herbs and medicinal plants - obviously a work in progress
We walked up into and around the Woodland area with super views of the castle

    1. I think the ghost thing has been rather exaggerated (sorry can't spell that !) People ask to come and do ghost tours as the public seem to like them - the guy doing the tour said he'd not seen anything and the dogs did not react at all - I was amazed at how calm and well behaved they were in such strange circumstances (rescue remedy was at the ready again !) Perhaps there were ghosts there and that's why they were so good ! I didn't feel that it was spooky at all- but possibly if you were alone in there as it was getting dark it might be different. Sue
