Thursday

Rather misty and damp on Thursday morning as Jim took the dogs for a walk on what was going to be a busy day - with both visitors in the afternoon and then a meal out in Porthleven in the evening - sorry for not managing to post when we got home - couldn't keep my eyes open !
The mist and fog moved around all day, but it didn't clear off properly and is even worse today (Friday)
Scillonian III Passing the old Penlee Lifeboat House as she made her way out of Mount's Bay. All flights had to be cancelled to & from Scilly so she was carrying the non-flyers who consented to go by boat - some people would rather wait until the fog clears - but there's no flying again today (Friday) at the moment

  1. Thought we should have gone over in September instead of June...but I think we made the right decision...apart from my unfortunate 'bug'!macca.

    1. What you needed, was a June holiday, but without the "bug" ! When the weather changed it went very quickly into Autumnal weather - including some wind we're expecting on Sunday/Monday. The rain stopped for a little while, but the mist is back and it's drizzling. Had to go back to wearing long trousers & walking boots - much earlier than I was hoping !
