Happy belated birthday Tilly!
ReplyDeleteShe had a really good day, walkies, then playing in the garden whilst we moved the palm trees in pots outside, then snooze in the sunshine, followed by long walkies ! It's a dog's life !
DeleteIt certainly looks beautiful there right now, and good weather for the weekend is forecast, I believe. It is lovely to see the details of insects, flowers and crops so I can envisage what is happening in May - a time I usually travel to Cornwall, but sadly not this year. Maybe June, hopefully, and a chance to escape the Santa Ana winds which are searing all the plants, causing fires yesterday quite close by and the heat is almost unbearable - in the 90s.
ReplyDeleteIt really is a super time of year in Cornwall - we've just got back from a day out at Porthgwarra and the drive through the countryside of West Penwith was beautiful - well apart from all the bends !
DeleteIt's so sad that both the warm Santa Anna winds and the cold ones that we have had all burn the plants and trees - at least we don't get too many fires down here - must be worrying when it starts to get closer. You'll see from todays photos the hillsides of Gorse at Porthgwarra are really brown and burned - in a different way !
Belated Happy Birthday to Tilly, no doubt spoilt rotten ;-)) So pleased the weather has improved and you are taking some days off to other areas of West Cornwall, do envy you both. Hope to be down soon for a quick visit. Wonderful photo's as always. THANK YOU SO MUCH.
ReplyDeleteWe've all had a good day out today at Porthgwarra - although Jim is looking rather pink as he forgot his suncream. Do hope you manage a visit soon - before the crowds descend ! Sue
DeleteHappy Birthday to Tilly,! a bit belated as we have just returned from three glorious days in Penzance. Best weather we have ever had ! Beautiful shots from your day out in the "Far West". Not surprised Jim is a bit pink, the sun was so strong. Jane.
ReplyDeleteYou certainly did choose well ! It's been super to get some really good weather for a change - seemed to always be up country so far this Spring !
DeleteTill and Wooster are really enjoying all the time in the garden and they sleep for hours each evening after all the exertions. Sue
