Up on The Island

We then walked up onto our favourite spot - known as The Island although it isn't one !
We sat looking down at Porthgwidden and watched the Boats in the Bay
Luggers - Happy Return to the left and Barnabus - originally from St. Ives just raising her big lug sail
We didn't see our favourite Happy Return sailing - perhaps she was sailing earlier.
Still love to see the "Red Sails in the Mist"
Never sure which are the Jumbo's but they all looked super sailing around
and even a Dragon Boat (I think !)
Barnabus dropping the lug sail and coming into the Harbour
Whilst we were sitting on a seat enjoying the view and the boats, we had begun to feel decidedly under-dressed, as people passing by were all looking very smart - then we realised that there was going to be a wedding up at the little chapel on the top of The Island
Eventually - here comes the Bride & bridesmaids
Quite a long & steep walk - especially in those heels !
There was a huge cheer and round of applause when she arrived
 - what a wonderful place to get married - and fortunately the sun was shining !
