Sunday - A day in St Ives

Glorious morning and the forecast was good so we decided to go out for the day
We drove to Carbis Bay, but had to park up at the station
The building work on the beach in front of The Carbis Bay  Hotel

Still plenty of beach
We used a shot similar to this in the brochure we did for our little holiday cottage, sadly the trees have grown
The wonderful view of St Ives as we walked along
Another of our brochure shots - Porthminster Beach

As you can see Bamaluz Beach is dog friendly
Godrevy Lighthouse with St Agnes Beacon behind and Wheal Coates Mine engine houses to the left

Parts of St Ives history

The Harbour beach - always polular

The NCI Lookout Station on The Island
Beautiful Porthgwidden
Stunning Porthmeor
Our favourite spot for lunch, but we were a little late today

We walked back around the harbour to the station
Only to find that the next train wasn't stopping at Carbis Bay,so we decided to walk back
Soaring overhead - quite a few both over St Ives and Carbis Bay
More history

Loved this wall built around the tree along Hain Walk
Sun setting to the left of the Church Tower

Jim's photos of our day  in St Ives
Busy along the footpath today

Looking back to Porthminster Beach
Godrevy Lighthouse
Porthgwidden
Porthminster
Great view of the NCI lookout
Loved these boats that were sailing in the bay for most of the afternoon

    1. It got busier as the afternoon wore on - can only take crowds like that every now and then. Might go back a bit later in the Autumn when we can park towards Porthmeor as the dogs love the walk out towards Zennor. So good to have the sun for the whole day - clouds seemed to be looming then sank away again. Sue
