Rather cold with a Northley wind at Marazion as I arrived to watch The Swim Around the Mount - in aid of the RNLI Penlee
Lovely to get so close to Lady of Avenel that was at anchor
RNLI Penlee Lifeboat Ivan Ellen always such a wonderful sight
and for those in need a very welcome sight
The recently named Penlee Inshore Lifeboat Mollie & Ivor Dent
Into the water ready for the start
Off they went - and out of sight

Towards the end - felt a bit sorry for this swimmer who got the wake of the Mollie & Ivor Dent
Those swimming breaststroke were a lot slower but carried on all the way round
Returning the comms to the shore
The superb safety team who were out on boards
After standing still for 2 and a half hours I couldn't feel my feet as they were so cold - as was the rest of me, so I felt rather guilty to leave this last swimmer still quite a way out
A very quiet Mount with no visitors today
