Tuesday

The sunrise resembling the sunsets we've had recently

Little rainbow

Jim went off up the hill with the dogs, with some very dramatic clouds out to the West

Meanwhile I drove up to Trebarvah to await the Chimney Sweep and get on with some minor decorating
Love the view through the front door of the constant stream of dark clouds
Shadows all around except on The Mount
The view from Oamaru as I drink a coffee - hope they come to collect thos telegraph poles soon
Since it was still sunny I decided to mow the lawns - I was amazed at this shadow right across the lawn - at mid day
More rain or hail

Much colder in the wind at the front, but I managed to get it mowed - wearing my coat !  Sadly it's sop moist the wheels made ruts !
Chimney being swept and I then rushed home ready for a dog walk
Sun was there somewhere

Massive flock of birds - possibly Herring Gulls - maybe there was a shoal of fish beneath them
Sadly it then started to rain so we walked quickly towards the car park - rain seemed to have stopped - but we should have known better
Many thanks to the new owners of the little cottage next to the parking field - hedge has been well and truly cut back - much easier to check if a car is coming before climbing over the steps.
We set off up the road heading for home and suddenly hail was crashing down on us  not sure if you can have heavy hail but it was really nasty !

  1. Glad to see the work has started. It will be a mess for a while but will grow back and we will keep it controlled.

    1. Really good to be able to walk over the steps so easily now. Really cold and more hail showers than I could count today. Sue
