Monday - a Grand Day Out - Sue's photos

An early start - well for us ! We drove through Helston and down the Lizard to Kynance Cove. Big surprise when we arrived to find the car park full of cattle - nice gentle Devon Ruby Reds

We walked the long way round to the cove

Busy busy !

Not much beach yet

I was really pleased to see the brand new steps that have been built to make it easier to get to the walk up the far side of the cove

They've even put a little crossing over the stream

Since it was too early for lunch we carried on with our walk

Really is quite a climb

Back down the other side and a quick stop at the stream

Couldn't persuade Maisie to go in

Wondered where the cattle had got to now that the car park was full - as we drove out - there they were

We drove to Lizard Village and managed - with great difficulty to find a parking space and went in search of lunch. Had a good lunch at the Witchball cafe and had a nice chat with the owners of these two lovely Boxers

We then walked along the footpath to Kynanace that runs along the top of a wall - was rather tricky keeping any distance

We turned left to head back towards the coast - Wooster obviously thinking we were much too slow

Water such a lovely colour, but the coast is not pretty here
