Sunday - A visit to Porthleven Lifeboat Day

In the end we were both very tired and Wooster was looking tired so we started to walk back - then they announced that the Inshore Lifeboat was just about to head out and we were too far down the harbour to see - so sadly no visit from the Ivan Ellen
We walked around to the other side of the harbour - and waited for a long time along with the crowds
By the time we had walked back down past the crowds outside The Ship Inn it was tied up

We were still sitting on a seat enjoying the view and quiet when suddenly there was the Penlee Inshore Lifeboat - much earlier than expected
Dave and his bird - correct name Waiting for Fish

Lots of Monbretia along the coast here
The Chimneys and Engine houses of the Trewavas Mine
We walked up onto the Coastal Footpath - this is Trewavas Head with Cudden Point in the background
The view commonly seen in wild weather

Built in Kitto's yard in Porthleven in 1904

The Lugger Happy Return
Quite busy already
As we arrived in Porthleven, so did the Cornwall Air Ambulance - landing in upper Porthleven

A few of my photos of the day - will do Jim's tomorrow as I really need to put my feet up
